Charming 400 year old Cottage in 1st village liberated in Normandy on D Day
The 400 plus-year-old character cottage is the former bakehouse for the village, totally renovated and converted to a one-bedroom en-suite holiday cottage while maintaining its charm.
It is the perfect hideaway for 2 with complete privacy yet the owners are on hand if you need them. The cottage is set in the heart of American drop zone during D Day Landings 10 minutes from the beach, in heart of National Park with Bayeux, Mont St Michel and other UNESCO sites close by.
The cottage’s fully-fitted kitchen includes a dark blue 2 door Aga in the centre giving out a lovely warmth, plus all the modern amenities you’d expect, including a gas hob, and coffee machine.
The kitchen opens into the most delightful sunny conservatory, leading to a patio and garden with gazebo and BBQ area.
The living area features a wood burning stove, television with free-to-view English channels, and plenty of DVDs.
In the bedroom you’ll find a super comfy queen-sized double bed – the perfect place to lay your head after a day of exploring the historic local area.
The cottage is situated in 9 acres of land with Llamas, Alpacas, a donkey, chickens plus a few cats – the 5 little dogs are on site too! Please do not book here if you don’t like countryside noises… the donkey brays, the cockerels welcome dawn and the church bells ring!
