Stone Leys Holiday Cottage is a double-fronted slate property, with whitewashed sidewalls, front porch, and a hedged front garden. It is situated in Haws Bank, a couple of minutes south of Coniston and was built over 200 years ago having once been the home of the wheelwright at Coniston Hall. It is the perfect base for enjoying the great outdoors, with easy access to the fells for a variety of activities including walking, cycling and boating. There is pony trekking nearby too. There is ample space for anything equipment you might want to bring be it bikes, boats or canoes!
As you enter Stone Leys, to your right is the living room, bathed in light from the large windows and with three large comfy sofas, HD TV, Sky Sports, oak beams and wood-burning stove. Next door is the games room which the children will enjoy with table football, kids sofa, TV and DVD, Wi-Fi as well as a PS2 and loads of games. You’ll have trouble getting them out of there!
The kitchen and dining area is huge and will easily accommodate large groups. There’s an AGA (as well as a normal cooker) and views out to the cottage garden (with barbecue) and babbling brook running alongside. There’s a laundry room and a pantry complete with dishwasher. Stairs go up to the landing and three bedrooms. Stone Leys is perfect for large active (and inactive) families!
